Customer reviews: Speed Kings: The 1932 Winter ... - It was an enjoyable read and there certainly was a cast of characters in the 1932 US Olympic bobsled team. I enjoyed learning abut the history of how the Olympic games were held in Lake Placid, NY. I do not think the book was accurately portrayed as the story of the Olympic bobsled team as it focused too much on Billy Fisk, the bobsled driver. I found The Boys in the Boat, the story of the 1936 US Olympic crew team a much more compelling story that essentially ended with their victory.
